The Port
The Port is Watermark's youth group for teens grades 6-12. They will gather together on Wednesday Nights 5:30-7pm during the school year at Watermark Church and will also have other exciting, fun, and meaningful experiences together as a group throughout the year. Introducing Watermark's New Pastor of Youth Ministries!
We are delighted to introduce our newest Watermark staff member, Steven Nelson, as he joins us as our Pastor of Youth Ministries!
Steven and his wife Jessica come to us with over 17 years of youth ministry experience in large churches in both Wilmington and High Point. We are so excited that they are true partners in ministry and together they will create a dynamic, Christ-centered, relational, and impactful student ministry for our teenagers.
Here's a special message from Steven and Jessica:
"The Nelson family is super excited to be a part of what God is doing at Watermark Church! We have been serving in vocational ministry for over 17 years and are looking forward to coming alongside and loving on students and families at Watermark while pointing them to Jesus. We just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary on October 17th. We have three great kids. Avery is 10 and she loves dogs, swimming, and acting. Sullivan is 7 and he loves baseball, basketball, and ping pong. Addy is 3 and she loves all things fancy, especially jewelry and painting her nails. The Nelson’s love to catch baseball games, bonfire s’mores and make memories visiting our families on the coast and in the mountains. We are so thankful to be a part of Watermark Church!"
