Setback or Comeback?

Do you have any regrets? Of course you do! We all do. No doubt, you have done things you regret and have made your share of mistakes. We have all done things that hurt others, pained God and left Him shaking His head. One of Jesus’ closest friends, Peter, turned his back on Jesus before His crucifixion, after swearing there was no way he would ever do that. When he realized what he had done, the Bible tells us he “wept bitterly.” (Matthew 26:75)

Peter was torn up about that. He was distraught. You have been there, haven’t you? We all have. Maybe you are there today. The great news for us is that we serve a God of second chances! He doesn’t leave us sitting in our failures, mistakes and regrets. He gives us another chance. Jesus proved that with Peter. After He rose from the grave, Jesus met Peter and asked Him if he loved him, not once, but three times (the number of times Peter had denied Him). Jesus gave Peter a chance to be forgiven and restored! (John 21:15-17).

Jesus offers you that same opportunity. Do you love Him? Tell him today. Ask for His forgiveness and invite Him to lead you! If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. For much more, listen to Miracles, Part 5 - Restoring.
