 Betty
Our Lord began preparing Betty for ministry as a child where she was raised in Bennettsville SC by a father who was a minister and a mother who was a probate judge. Her education includes License Practical Nursing and college courses for paralegal. In 1980 she left nursing for Southern Bell Telephone and retired in 2010 to be with her aging parents and critically ill husband. She also worked as an administrator and interim director for a pregnancy resource center, and as an administrator for an attorney. Her experience is more life lived and on the job training. She walked with her husband through stage 4 cancer for 17 years from 2000 to 2017.

Betty's family is her JOY! She has 3 children, 3 married-in children and 7 grandchildren.  Her passions are deep Bible study, being with Jesus and learning from Him, prayer, sitting with troubled, hurting souls and pointing them to Christ, watching Christ transform us into disciples, loving the family of God, especially at Watermark, and being a part of His Kingdom.

 Katie
“Love is a transforming, life changing, radical, direction altering action. It’s not an adjective but a verb,” Katie’s words to describe the love she receives from Jesus.  It is the love He has put in her heart that has prepared her to be a shepherd for His people. Through her deep, unexplainable love for Jesus and others, she prays consistently and ceaselessly to see people the way Jesus does. When she truly began living for Jesus, rather than simply knowing about Him, her life changed. He gave her the gift of prayer and discernment to know when people need to feel His love and compassion.  Often times, it changes her life just as much as she prays it changes theirs and is something she takes very seriously.

Katie is married to Terry, the most amazing man she knows, and The Lord called her to be a homeschooling Mama to Ford (6) and Cole (4).  She’s thankful God has given her this opportunity to love and pray for His people in a deep, tangible, and meaningful way that will bring them into closer relationship with Him.
